Chloé Reimagines Its Popular Tess Bag Into a Roomier Day Bag

Natacha Ramsay-Levi debuted the Chloé Tess Bag over two years ago at the brand’s fall 2018 runway show. The Tess was quintessentially Chloé, taking elements from other bag hits like the Drew and the Faye and expertly marrying them to make a brand new bag. This new silhouette clearly was meant to be a big push for the brand, as multiple iterations were seen throughout the show and fans took to it well.

Now, two years after its release, the Tess is still beloved by Chloé fans, and the brand offers a slew of combinations in varying sizes, colors and leathers. Though definitely more bohemian in style (as a Chloé bag should be), the Tess is a truly stunning bag that offers an air of effortless style. Characterized by its shiny O hardware and elegant attitude, for fall 2020, Ramsay-Levi debuts a new addition to the Tess line.

Perfect for the everyday, the Chloé Tess Day Bag is a larger, slightly more relaxed silhouette that bears a resemblance in shape to the Faye Day Bag. Designed with practicality in mind, the Tess Day Bag is available in two sizes—mini and small, both featuring multiple pockets and a roomy interior despite its compact design. In terms of function, the bag also features both a small top handle and a longer strap, secured by feminine hooks in golden and silver tones.

The top handle strap is not removable, though the longer shoulder strap can be taken off completely and is also adjustable. Made from panels of smooth and textured calf leather, the mini size measures 6″ L x 8.8″ W x 3.9″ D and retails for $1,650, while the small has overall dimensions of 8.6″ L x 10.5″ W x 5.1″ D and retails for $1,990. Both sizes feature a front flap with a magnetic closure, one front slit pocket, an inside zip pocket, and a back slit pocket, which is perfect for storing your smartphone.
